eLearning Modules
Finally I got to dig in and develop the eLearning Modules! I chose Lectora for this simply because I had unlimited access to the tool through IDOL Academy. It was extremely helpful to have a working prototype as a starting point since I'd already created many graphical elements with Canva and Avatar Maker, and worked out several design and development decisions within Lectora. ChatGPT helped me in a couple of spots where I needed some assessment ideas. Using elevenlabs.io, I created a custom AI character voice that I felt fit my client well, and "Beth" was born - the virtual Program Director guiding learners through the course. As always, I got helpful feedback from IDOL evaluators, colleagues, and of course my Kindred Life SMEs. The end result was 4 modules of eLearning, moving Mentors from an understanding of the organization and their role to an understanding of their Mentee and how to develop their Mentor skills.
